Overview

If you're planning a career in the automotive industry, this course is the perfect place to start. The qualification will provide you with some of the basic skills and knowledge required for beginning either as a trainee or for work experience. Through this qualification you will gain some familiarity with the automotive setting and the ability to perform a limited range of tasks, relating to the inspection of the mechanical components and systems of vehicles. You will also be able to perform some minor maintenance and repairs on the body of a vehicle. This qualification offers a solid base for you to undertake work and further training, in the broader automotive industry.

Course Delivery

This qualification is a classroom-based course, comprising of 12 units of study. To successfully complete this course, you must gain competency in all 12 units.

Entry Requirements

Each student will undertake a Pre-Training Review to help confirm the proposed course is suitable. It will provide valuable information about an individual's existing skills and knowledge, language, literacy and numeracy skills and whether the course will help in achieving learning and/or employment goals. All students will need to provide their own safety boots. All other personal protection equipment (PPE) is provided by SuniTAFE.
