This qualification reflects the role of individuals who work in a senior operational or team leading role in the health industry. Job duties may include wide-range planning and coordination and implementation of medical and health services, staff scheduling, hiring and salary issues, patient fees and billing, and keeping records of supplies.


This qualification could lead to employment as a Health administrator whom are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of a hospital, hospital system or healthcare organisation. A health administrator might work for an enormous health company or hospital system, overseeing several facilities at once. Or they might work on a smaller scale, such as managing a group of medical practices, a particular department in a hospital system, or a single medical practice.


Once completing this course, This qualification enables students to pathway into Diploma of leadership and management.

Course Delivery

Flexible delivery students and Traineeship students. 120 hours of Practical Placement working in an allied health specific organisation must be completed during the time of study for Flexible delivery. Delivery is conducted over 18 months for flexible students from date of enrolment. Next enrolment intake early 2018.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must be working in the industry or traineeship model. Victorian Police Check. Interview with teaching staff and/or Manager responsible for this qualification. Each student will undertake a Pre-Training Review before enrolling to help confirm the proposed course is suitable. It will provide valuable information about an individual's existing skills and knowledge, language, literacy and numeracy skills and whether the course will help in achieving learning and/or employment goals.
