This qualification reflects the role of the entry level for the community services workers who support individuals through the provision of person centred services. Work may include day-to-day support of individuals in community settings or support of individual in community settings or support the implementation of specific community- based programs.

Course Delivery

Both Swan Hill and Mildura offer students the opportunity to can complete the Certificate III as a on the job traineeship. Duration is dependent on the student's progression through the units. 12-18 month's duration. Enrolment can occur at any stage of the year. Classroom based delivery is only offered at the Swan Hill campus.

Entry Requirements

Obtain a satisfactory Police Clearance Certificate and Working with Children Check that must be supplied prior to enrolment. Each student will undertake a Pre-Training Review before enrolling to help confirm the proposed course is suitable. It will provide valuable information about an individual's existing skills and knowledge, language, literacy and numeracy skills and whether the course will help in achieving learning and/or employment goals.
