The Course in Certificate I in Spoken & Written English assists adult learners of non-English speaking backgrounds to develop language and literacy skills. Learners entering this course are assessed as beginners with remedial learning needs arising from limited or disrupted schooling. The learning focus for the Certificate I in Spoken and Written English is to develop English Language skills to be able to progress to further study.

Students can pathway through Certificate II and Certificate III in Spoken and Written English.

Course Delivery

Classes are offered at varied times both night and day and progression through the course is dependent on the learner and their ability to learn a second language. Courses are delivered from both Mildura and Swan Hill.

Entry Requirements

Each student will undertake a Pre-Training Review before enrolling to help confirm the proposed course is suitable. It will provide valuable information about an individual's existing skills and knowledge, language, literacy and numeracy skills and whether the course will help in achieving learning and/or employment goals.
